Jesse James The Ellison Collection
Historically Accepted Photo of Jesse James
Haunted Jesse James Home ?
Is this the ghost of Jesse James or Little Archie Samuel in the window at the James farm? Jesse James was originally buried at the James Farm and his half-brother, Little Archie, is also buried there:
Take a look at our comparisons page:
Our original photos are also being published in newspapers and magazines. I will post the publication's name here after the stories are published.

The Ellison Collection is currently on display at The Ray County Museum in Richmond, Missouri in the heart of Jesse James country for an extended time: (Note: Karen Bush resigned from the Ray County Museum in March 2011 after many years of service and took her website with her therfore the link has been disabled but The Ellison Collection is still on view there.)
The Great-Grandaughter of Jesse James, Betty Barr, visited the Ray County Museum just to see The Ellison Collection. The curator of the Ray County Museum said that Mrs. Barr was brought there by the staff of the Jesse James Farm Museum and that she was quite pleased to see our collection and complimented it as did they. We are very pleased that a close family member of Jesse James himself has viewed our collection and enjoyed it. Some of the photos we have on display at the Ray County Museum are not Mrs. Barr's relation but are Jesse James gang members as she alludes to in the story.
Here is a link to the Richmond Daily News that reported on the event:

OUR JESSE JAMES COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL PHOTOS HAS BEEN VERIFIED BY PHILLIP W. STEELE, HISTORIAN, WRITER AND FOUNDER OF THE JAMES-YOUNGER GANG CLUB. WE FEEL THAT OUR COLLECTION PROVES THE TRADITIONAL STORY OF JESSE AND FRANK JAMES BETTER THAN ANY BOOK EVER HAS. OUR PHOTOS PUT THE JAMES' IN THE RIGHT PLACES AT THE RIGHT TIME THAT HISTORY STATES THEY WERE THERE. WE HAVE PHOTOS IN OUR COLLECTION FROM WAVERLY/BOX STATION, TENN., EUREKA SPRINGS, ARK., ST. JOSEPH AND KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI AND OKLAHOMA TIED TOGETHER BY JESSE AND ZEE'S DOUBLE RELATIVES, THE POORS, OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI. OUR COLLECTION CONTAINS TINTYPES, AMBROTYPES, DAGUERREOTYPES, CDV'S AND CABINETCARDS OF THESE WANTED OUTLAWS.
OUR ENTIRE JESSE JAMES COLLECTION OF OVER FIFTY ORIGINAL PHOTOS COMES FROM ONLY FOUR SOURCES. THIRTY FIVE PHOTOS FROM A FAMILY ALBUM WERE PURCHASED AT A FLEA MARKET IN SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI. TEN PHOTOS WERE PURCHASED ON EBAY FROM A MAN IN OHIO. A BOX OF PHOTOS AND LETTERS FROM THE FRANK W. POOR FAMILY OF KANSAS CITY, JAMES' RELATIVES, WERE PURCHASED FROM A MAN IN MACON, MISSOURI WHICH IS JUST EAST OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI. TWO FULL PLATE TINTYPES OF JESSE AND HIS SISTER SUSAN WERE PURCHASED FROM A WOMAN IN CANE HILL, ARKANSAS. JESSE'S SISTER, SUSAN PARMER, LIVED IN CANE HILL, ARKANSAS FOR A FEW YEARS AFTER MARRYING HER HUSBAND, ALLEN PARMER, WHO WAS FROM CANE HILL, ARKANSAS. THIS ADDS GREATLY TO THE CREDIBILITY OF OUR COLLECTION. THE PHOTOS WERE NOT INDIVIDUALLY CHERRY PICKED FROM HERE AND THERE AND THEN PUT TOGETHER TO FORM THIS COLLECTION. WE HAVE WRITTEN DOCUMENTAION OF WHERE ALL OF OUR PHOTOS CAME FROM.

We, Greg Ellison and Michele Ellison, have been collecting historical photographs from the 19th Century for many years and we are invested in preserving our history through photographs that have been discarded by previous owners and now rediscovered for your enjoyment. We take great pride in our work of researching all photos that are presented on this site to make sure that an accurate description is given of each photo and we provide the evidence that we use to be able to present the photo to you with our opinion of who the photo represents. The photos are their own evidence, but we provide comparison photos and other records to justify our identification of each photo. Our JESSE JAMES COLLECTION, which includes photos of Jesse James, his family and gang members, has been verified by the leading authority on the subject, Mr. Phillip W. Steele. Mr. Steele has studied the subject for over forty years and has written several books and articles about the lives of the James'. His verification is presented here for you to view. We have sold many historical photos in the past and they are listed on the SOLD PAGE.
